Client: RMIG Endowment Trust c/o Masonic Charitable Foundation

Contract Administrator: KKBM Building Surveyors

Value: £166,752

With boarders as well as day pupils on site, the Royal Masonic School for Girls is rarely closed to staff and students. So when we were commissioned to carry out extensive external repairs and redecoration to this historic Hertfordshire private school, the majority of work had to be completed while the campus was fully occupied, with spot items completed out of hours to mitigate risks. Zelltec’s in-house team completed the works on time, with the minimum of disruption, and to the highest of standards.

  • Installation of fully compliant access scaffolding to external elevations, supplemented by mobile elevated work platforms where access was needed for emergency egress

  • Repair to roof tiles, rafters and brickworks

  • Timber care included repairs, timber splicing and full timber replacement

  • Redecoration of all external metalworks, including fire escape staircase, hoppers and downpipes

  • Installation of a bespoke cat access ladder and handrail system to allow safe access for future maintenance

  • Installation of aluminium fascia boards and soffits, as well as deep flow aluminium guttering to replace the existing which was being overwhelmed during heavy rainfall
